Blackbird Ranch hosts a variety of exotic hunts and excellent bass fishing experiences in a landscape covered by multiple lakes and gently rolling hills. The ranch totals 1,600+ acres with 500 hundred acres high-fenced. The high-fenced acreage is home to black buck, axis, fallow, and wild boar, as well 200-300 class whitetail. Blackbird Ranch hosts a variety of exotic hunts and excellent bass fishing experiences in a landscape covered by multiple lakes and gently rolling hills. The ranch totals 1,600+ acres with 500 hundred acres high-fenced. The high-fenced acreage is home to black buck, axis, fallow, and wild boar, as well 200-300 class whitetail. An abundance of deer and wild boar can also be found on the low-fenced acreage. When not hunting, guests enjoy fishing on several tanks, including 50 and 25 acre lakes stocked with Florida bass, crappie, catfish, and bluegill. During the off hours activities include kayaking and skeet shooting. The 2,000 square foot ranch-style lodge overlooks one of the lakes and sleeps six.

Hunting Package Details
Package
Blackbird Ranch overs two-day hunting packages that include the harvest of an axis, blackbuck or fallow. Included is the guided hunt, lodging, meals, non-alcoholic drinks, photos, and care of game. Hunters are expected to tip a minimum of 10%. Game pricing is as follows:
- Axis – non-trophy at $3,900
- Axis – trophy at $5,500
- Blackbuck – below 18” at $3,750
- Blackbuck – over 18” at $4,500
- Fallow – non-trophy: $5,500
- Fallow – trophy: $6,500
Details
Blackbird Ranch is a high-fenced property and is a part of the Texas MLDP program. As such, no active buck tags are required, but hunters will need a valid Texas hunting license. These can be purchased online or at most sporting goods stores. Hunters will hunt from tower blinds and stalk hunt with a seasoned guide who will assist in spotting, aging, and sizing intended game.
Hunter Requirements
Unless otherwise arranged with the host, hunters are expected to provide the following:
- Rifle.
- Ammunition.
- Hunting License.
- Flashlight or Headlamp.
- Snake Boots (optional).
- Alcohol is not provided (BYOB).

When do I get details about my booked hunt?
You will receive an email with additional details about your hunt immediately after booking, and location details will be sent one week prior to your hunt.

Do I need a license in order to hunt?
Most types of game listed on BirdDog require a license. When hunted on private property, those that do not require a license include: hogs, coyotes, bobcats, and other nuisance animals.
