About the Hunt
Zingela Limpopo Safaris has been set up with the bow hunter in mind since its existence. We boast a wide variety of game, which includes a total of 19 antelope species as well as top class buffalos, and one of the healthiest predator numbers in the Limpopo valley; these predator numbers include leopard, brown hyena, spotted hyena, and cheetah. Zingela Limpopo Safari long-term responsibility has always been, and will remain - Biodiveristy, Wildlife and General Nature Conservation. We have continuously maintained that hunting plays an important ecological role. We abide by ethical, transparent hunting practices and with our integrity, along with a solid quota system and strict game management plan, to ensure that good quality trophies are consistently taken. Great genetics and low hunting pressure have resulted in high number of record-breaking trophies at Zingela Limpopo Safaris.

We offer both the experienced and less experienced hunter an opportunity to suite their preferences. Hunter Requirements
Unless otherwise arranged with the host, hunters are expected to provide the following:
- No special hunting license needed. The special permits for some of the rare animals is the responsibility and cost of the outfitter and will be secured before hunter arrives.
- Hunting Clothing - Camouflage shirt or jacket and hat. More info sent at booking.
- Guides provide firearms and ammo at no additional charge
- If you want to bring your own rifles guides will organize the permits at a minimal fee for the permits needed with no hassles
- Bows - if you wish to bow hunt you will need to bring your own no permits are needed
- No meat can be imported into the US. However the safari cooks 80% of their meals with animals harvested there so you will get the complete experience.
- Bring US Cash for Tipping based on service you are provided
Facilities & Amenities
Lodging
Baobab Tented Camp is located on top of a rugged African kipje and is guarded by ancient Baobab trees which, till today carry the scares of elephants that roamed the Limpopo valley 100 years ago. This rustic "Safari" style tented camp will give you a true luxurious African experience, with 4 individually spaced tents, to ensure extreme privacy, each with their own en-suite bathrooms and private viewing decks which overlook pristine Limpopo Valley. We supply daily laundry service. in the common are there is an open aired lounge, splash pool to cool off during the summer months and braai (BBQ) area. Highly trained camp staff will attend to your every need.
Meals
Meals consist of true African Bush Cuisine, with plentiful venison on the menu, complimented by South African wines and beer. Lunch boxes are provided for the hunters which can be enjoyed in one of our blinds. Campfires and barbecues on a regular basis, amid the nocturnal sounds of the African bush. Guests will be treated to a 3 course meal consisting of either grilled venison fingers prepared over an open fire, traditional "Potjiekos" (Hot Potj) and homemade bread.
Travel Details
ZIngela Limpopo Safaris is a mere 14km (8.6 miles) north of the small settlement Tolwe in Limpopo province. We are 430km (267 miles) a comfortable 4-hour drive, from Johannesburg (OR Tambo) international Airport. A smaller Domestic airport is just 200km (124 miles) or 2 hours drive from Zingela Limpopo Safaris. Normally clients are picked up from Johannesburg international airport, but flights are also available to Polokwane for a shorter drive - this will be for the client's decision. We also have an airstrip on the property is clients request a private charter flight from Johannesburg to our camp.

When do I get details about my booked hunt?
You will receive an email with additional details about your hunt immediately after booking, and location details will be sent one week prior to your hunt.

Do I need a license in order to hunt?
Most types of game listed on BirdDog require a license. When hunted on private property, those that do not require a license include: hogs, coyotes, bobcats, and other nuisance animals.
