Overview
Storm Shack is the perfect location for any kind of hunting or fishing event in the Matagorda area. Matagorda Bay is renowned for bay fishing, where anglers catch redfish, speckled trout, and sheephead year round. Storm Shack also serves as home base for BirDog-hosted helicopter and thermal hog hunts as well as duck, dove, and upland bird hunts. Contact BirdDog to set up a custom hunting event.

Hunter Requirements
Unless otherwise arranged with the host, hunters are expected to provide the following:
- Valid Texas hunting and fishing license with state and migratory game bird endorsements.
- Hunting Clothing - Camouflauge or natural-colored outerwear.
- Boots or sturdy shoes.
- Shotgun.
- Ammunition.
- Fishing Gear - Boat shoes, fishing shirt, hat, sunscreen.
- Cooler to carry home your processed, harvested game and fish.

When do I get details about my booked hunt?
You will receive an email with additional details about your hunt immediately after booking, and location details will be sent one week prior to your hunt.

Do I need a license in order to hunt?
Most types of game listed on BirdDog require a license. When hunted on private property, those that do not require a license include: hogs, coyotes, bobcats, and other nuisance animals.
