Hunt Package

This is a four-day, three night hunting package with food, alcohol and lodging included. Plan to arrive on Thursday evening by 6pm for dinner and beverages. A continental breakfast will be provided each morning before the morning duck hunts. Professional Bayou Meto Double D duck hunting guides and duck retrieving dogs are provided as well as transportation to and from the on-site lodge to the duck hunting blinds. There are numerous portable blinds, some blinds are heated. Game cleaning is handled by the lodge/plucking house for an additional fee. Game will be professionally processed, washed and wrapped in butcher paper. Cold Storage is available on property however extra coolers are always handy. Departure will be on Sunday after the morning hunt. Breakfast will be available before departure. The professional hunting guides have over 30 years of duck hunting experience and make extensive effort to ensure your hunt is a fun, exciting and successful experience.


Overview

Double D ranch is on the banks of the Bayou Meto flood basin near Lonoke, Arkansas which is an area recognized nationwide for attracting large numbers of ducks. This land is privately owned and was designed and developed to create for an extremely healthy duck population year after year. As part of the duck habitat management program there are 5 rest days of no hunting built into each week. It is almost certain you will get your limit each day.

Hunter Requirements

Unless otherwise arranged with the host, hunters are expected to provide the following:

  • Working Waders
  • Cold Weather Gear
  • Shot Gun
  • Ammunition.
  • Cooler to carry home your processed harvested game.
  • Hunters are expected to tip a minimum of 10% to guides.
  • Hunting License: 
    • Harvest Information Program Registration (HIP)
    • Federal Duck Stamp
    • Nonresident 5-Day Small Game Hunting License (SG5)
    • Arkansas Waterfowl Stamp - Nonresident (DSN)

Most types of game listed on BirdDog require a license. When hunted on private property, those that do not require a license include: hogs, coyotes, bobcats, and other nuisance animals.
