Hunting Package Details
Package
This bucket-list experience is hosted by the Pintail Hunting Club right in the Central Flyway and includes the best Texas has to offer; waterfowl hunting with premium accommodations and an acoustic concert by Texas legend Josh Abbott. The package includes 2 days of hunting, lodging, meals, non-alcoholic drinks, guide service, photos, and processing of birds. The all inclusive experience is $2,500 per guest. Hunters are expected to tip a minimum of 10%.
Details
Arrival is 3:00pm or later the day before your hunt. Upon arrival guests are welcome to enjoy bass fishing or the clay shooting range, or they can relax at the lodge. Bar apps are served at sunset and followed by a four-course dinner. Before dinner, hunters will meet their guides and go over the agenda for the hunt the following morning. Wake up is at 5:00-5:30am with a Southern-style continental breakfast waiting. Then, before daybreak, hunters depart for a true Texas waterfowl experience. After the morning hunt, guests head back to the lodge where more of that famous Southern cooking is served for brunch. Departure time will be at noon on the final day of the hunt.
Hunter Requirements
Unless otherwise arranged with the host, hunters are expected to provide the following:
- Valid Texas hunting license with state and migratory bird endorsements.
- Upland Game Bird Endorsement for Upland hunts.
- Hunting Clothing - Camoflauge shirt or jacket and hat.
- Waders or hipboots.
- Shotgun.
- Steel or non-toxic shot for waterfowl hunting (shells are available for purchase at lodge).
- Cooler to carry home your processed game.
- Alcohol is not provided (BYOB).
Facilities & Amenities
The main hunting lodge has a deep wraparound porch perfect for watching a red South Texas sunset. It includes two bedrooms, one with a king sized bed and a second with queen and bunk. A large common room with fireplace comfortably fits the group, and in the adjacent dining area, a family style table seats 12 for excellent food and conversation. After dinner, the conversation is continued around a large firepit with ample seating.

Do I need a license in order to hunt?
Most types of game listed on BirdDog require a license. When hunted on private property, those that do not require a license include: hogs, coyotes, bobcats, and other nuisance animals.
