Hunting Package Details
Package
Upon arrival at BirdDog's first Blast & Cast concert event, you'll be escorted to an opening weekend evening dove hunt. After the hunt and a chef-prepared meal, Pat Green will perform a private acoustic set for hunters. The following morning, after an early breakfast, hunters will spend the day on an inland fishing trip with some of the area's top captains. The experience includes a guided dove hunt, a guided inshore fishing trip, lodging, all meals, open bar, photos, and care of game and fish. Pricing for the event is $3,500 per hunter. Hunters are expected to tip a minimum of 10%.
Hunt Details
Hunters should plan to arrive at the Storm Shack by 12:00 noon with lunch to follow. At 3:00pm, guests will load onto buses and travel to the dove fields. After the evening hunt, drinks and snacks will await on the bus as you travel back to the Storm Shack. The next morning you'll fish for reds, speckled trout, flounder, and black drum in Matagorda bay. After a day of fishing guests should plan to depart around 3:00pm. Please ensure that you have a valid Texas hunting and fishing license with migratory game bird endorsement upon arrival. These can be purchased online in advance or at most sporting goods stores.
Hunter Requirements
Unless otherwise arranged with the host, hunters are expected to provide the following:
- Valid Texas hunting and fishing license with state and migratory game bird endorsements.
- Hunting Clothing - Camouflauge or natural-colored outerwear. (For new hunters, please be advised that you should not wear blaze orange when hunting dove.)
- Boots or sturdy shoes.
- Shotgun.
- Ammunition (dove load).
- Fishing Gear - Boat shoes, fishing shirt, hat, sunscreen.
- Cooler to carry home your processed, harvested game and fish.

When do I get details about my booked hunt?
You will receive an email with additional details about your hunt immediately after booking, and location details will be sent one week prior to your hunt.

Do I need a license in order to hunt?
Most types of game listed on BirdDog require a license. When hunted on private property, those that do not require a license include: hogs, coyotes, bobcats, and other nuisance animals.
