About

BirdDog was started by a couple of friends who saw a need to simplify the way Hunters and aspiring hunters search for and book hunting experiences. While many commercial outfitters and landowners offer hunts for specific types of game, BirdDog sees an opportunity to partner with them to allow Hunters to browse many different kinds of hunts. We cater to individual Hunters, father/son and mother/daughter Hunters, and corporate hunting groups. Our highest goal is to ensure a fantastic experience for Hunters and ranch owners alike, and to do so we've assembled a team that includes some of the very best in the industry.

Our Team

Jonathan Lusk, Co-Founder
Jonathan grew up in North Texas on a fish farm where he developed a love for the outdoors. Upon graduation from Texas A&M, he joined the workforce, married his college sweetheart, and began a family. After completing his MBA at Rice, he worked on Wall Street at Goldman Sachs and then launched his own finance company. Jonathan now resides in Washington, TX where he lives on a little piece of land with his wife, Kat, and kids, Jackson, Sam, and Charlotte. They enjoy fishing, hunting, and being outdoors.

Taylor Jackson, Co-Founder
Taylor’s love for nature and conservation was cultivated both in practice and in literature. His most formative outdoor experiences were whitetail hunting in the Hill Country and fly fishing in the Ozarks. Taylor holds a bachelor’s Texas A&M and a Master’s in Theology from TEDS. He owns a residential construction company and previously ran construction for ICON Technologies, a construction tech startup. He is married with kids, and while he enjoys his work, he’s really just trying to get lost in nature.
